Sweat Lodge Ceremony / Offered on the first Saturday of every month by reservation ONLY. Since Covid-19 began in 2020, for everyone's safety, we have been limiting the number of people we allow in the lodge each month. If you are interested in participating in lodge ceremony it's necessary to contact Jeanne Lane to reserve a space. Call or text 865-679-0209. These lodges fill up quickly and the details are pertinent!! We want to be able to contact you and share the heart agreements and basic guidelines prior to your first lodge visit. Fire Ceremony and Drumming / Offered on the third Saturday of ever month and times vary with the seasons based on daylight. Most of these begin between 3 and 4pm and lasts a couple of hours depending on the prayers and the number of people in attendance. . See the calendar for more details. Everyone who is interested in knowing more about this community is encouraged to come and sit by the fire to experience this ceremony. Please bring your friends as this event is open to ALL!! Offered on a Love offering basis!!
Buckeye Unity Dance / This Native American style dance is generally held the second weekend of May and participants must register ahead of time with Jose Gonzales. Spaces are limited. See the calendar for more information as the time nears.
Buckeye Women's Spiral Dance / This Native American style dance strictly for women is held the second weekend of October. Tamy J. Brown is the chief of this dance. Spaces are limited. Participants much register with Tamy ahead of time. Contact us if you think this dance is calling you.
Women Who Run with the Wolves / Women's book group gatherings held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9-11AM (this group has been meeting since January of 2017) We are currently reading Sharon Blackie's book If Women Rose Rooted / A life changing journey to authenticity and belonging. Yoga / Classes are currently being offered on Zoom. There is an in-person class offered on Monday nights at 5:30pm If you want more information and have never joined a class please call Jeanne Lane for registration information at 865-679-0209. The classes are offered as drop in for $12 a class or $80 for a series of 8 classes with 10 weeks to get in the 8 classes. You can send a check or pay through PayPal to [email protected].
Drum Creation Ceremony with Zoe Allison Rockingbear / Watch for event details on the Buckeye Farm Facebook Page as well as here on our calendar.
BBJ / Buckeye Barbeque and Jam / A fundraiser for Buckeye Farm held usually towards the end of the summer (the last one was held Sept 2021) The fun generally includes a spirit sharing jam of musical or other talents. It is for us a wholesome day filled with fun, music and laughter. We offer up spaces for spiritually based vendors to come and share their wares and include opportunities for workshops during the afternoon as well. This event will also be posted on our Buckeye Farm Facebook Page.
Buckeye's Young People's Quest Camp/ held each year in the early Fall. Dates to be published for 2024 two months prior to registration. Pre-Registration is required for young people 6 through 18. The young people and sponsors will camp in the dance arbor together to explore an inward journey of transformation and rites of passage This two day ceremony my include ( but not limited to ) talking stick sharing and drumming around the fire, sacred native folktales, an introduction to the sacred vision quest practice, meditation and Spirit Walk with teachings around the 7 directions and the 4 Elements. Watch for our flyers on FB !! 865-679-0209 Jeanne Lane, Chief Elder for this ceremony. Please give us a call if you are interested in this program. This has become a yearly ceremonial time for our young people in which we will allow those who have attended the program previously to step in to leadership and service roles for the next year. We hope to build a lasting community of young people who will become mentors and teachers for generations to come.
New Moon Sound Healing Meditations / held in the Yurt or on the Yurt deck each month on the new moon, provided by Elizabeth Clanton. There is a charge of $25 for this experience. Please come and support the community and enjoy this lovely time together with Elizabeth. These events will be posted on the calendar and on the Buckeye FB page.
Sound Bath Emersions /with Chaz Barber and various other Sound Healing Musicians to be held every third Saturday at 7pm AFTER Fire Ceremony. You may attend one or both of these events as they are consecutive.. We will also post these on the dalendar. Outdoor Kitchen/ Our outdoor kitchen ( still a work in progress) is in it's final stages of "creative expression." For any event you are welcome to bring snacks for sharing. Soon we will be rebuilding out cob oven (horno). As the time approaches look for events offered on the calendar if you want to be a part of this cob rebuild experience!! It will be a lot of fun!!
